What do we want to do and what do we want to build?
With Allah’s the almighty’s blessing and guidance, the community has managed to reserve a lot of 10000 Sqm to build an 750 square meter Islamic center including Mosque, teaching halls, and playground
The total cost of the project is estimated to 13Milj Sek – 10% have alhamdulilah been Collected
Through personal communication, we appeal to Kalmar’s Muslims to become Lifetime Members by paying the membership fee once in a lifetime and at the same time sharing the cost of building the mosque. The lifetime membership fee for an able-bodied person is SEK 10,000 and SEK 5,000 for an unemployed person, this can be paid as a lump sum or within a period of than 6 months

A Mosque and a Cultural center for the Muslims of Kalmar
Currently, the city of Kalmar does not have a dedicated mosque in a traditional sense. Kalmar’s Muslims do today rent varius basement premises and use these as prayer halls. These basement premises have a very limited space and limited possibilities. Due to the limited space, the muslim community prays the Friday prayer during three different time slots (1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.) during summer time. During winter time it is not possible to divide the prayer as winter time sets its limitations. This forces the community to close the doors so that the number of visitors does not exceed the permitted numbers forced by the authorities. These restrictions are unavoidable as it could otherwise lead to the security being compromised.
Today, the community is therefore in urgent need of not only a mosque, but also a cultural center to meet the community’s basic needs.
Land reservation
10,000 square meters of land
With Allah’s the almighty’s blessing and guidance, the community has managed to reserve a lot of 10000 Sqm to build an 750 square meter Islamic center including Mosque, teaching halls, and playground
The project is to be divided into two phases. Phase one is to build a mosque of about 550 square meters. The mosque must be simply designed and must fulfill the basic needs that the community today sees as important.
Phase two is to build an activity center for our youth of approx. 200 square meters.

The Muslim faith community in Kalmar is a registered group in the municipality of Kalmar city, Sweden (organization number: 802534-2570). This organization represents all the Muslim in the city with diffrent backgrounds
Today the community has a Specific goal to unite all Muslims in Kalmar to build a Mosque and an activity center to cover the needs of the Muslim community in Kalmar
